Electrical Supervisor
Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead and manage electrical operations at our construction projects. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong technical expertise and leadership to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilites
- Supervise and coordinate electrical construction activities while reporting to the Construction Manager.
- Ensure projects are resourced with necessary materials and equipment.
- Perform select on-site tasks where required to meet project timelines.
- Oversee safety compliance, enforcing health and safety (H&S) standards.
- Manage and evaluate the performance of sub-contractors for specialized electrical tasks.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of work progress, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Participate in risk management activities and address installation-related risks.
- Analyze and provide feedback on contractor installation methods and shop drawings to ensure alignment with design specifications.
- Review and approve sub-contractor selections and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Conduct regular inspections of on-site installations for quality and specification adherence.
- Attend factory inspections for materials and equipment when necessary.
- Validate and approve contractors’ method statements and schedules before execution.
- Monitor testing activities during construction phases and provide guidance on results.
- Keep track of defects and oversee corrective measures by contractors.
- Participate in progress and technical meetings, offering technical insights and recommendations.
- Approve contractors’ “as-built” drawings to finalize project documentation.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and quality assurance protocols in construction.
- Experience in technical review, risk management, and contractor evaluation.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
